AndriyDrachAndriy Drach (left), BA: He grew up in Ukraine and the Czech Republic. While being in the Czech Republic, he studied at the Gymnázium Vysoké Mýto and then completed his BA Studies in German for Business at the University of Pardubice. With a financial contribution from the University of Pardubice 2014 he took part in two German language summer courses at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. From October 2015, he is a student at the University of Potsdam in the MA Program Eastern European Cultural Studies with a focus on History and Culture of Eastern European Jewry. In 2016, he received a scholarship and completed a language summer course at the University of Warsaw in the Polish language. 2015/2016 he received a scholarship for a joint program of the University of Potsdam and the University of Haifa, Israel, in the program of Jewish and Israel Studies and spend the semester at the University of Haifa. From the summer 2016 he received an Internship at the University of Haifa in the project of the Jewish Vocational School Masada 1947–48 in Darmstadt under the supervision of Lea Dror-Batalion, Bucerius Institute for Research of Contemporary German History and Society at the University of Haifa.



Fatih Saraç
SarahLebertFatih Sarac (left) completed his B.A. in Political Science and Turkology at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz / Germany. He did an internship at the parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate to gain experience at the process of political practice and the advice of the parliamentarians. Furthermore he is scholarship holder of the University of Mainz which ensures the funding of the program "Israel / Middle Eastern" for appropriate students. He speaks German, English and Turkish. Currently, he is learning Hebrew. After his stay in Israel he wants to start with a M.A program in Political Science / International Relations.

Sarah Lebert (right) is doing her Bachelors in English and Jewish Studies at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. She has gained experience in education before by working at an elementary school and teaching music. 2011/2012 she did voluntary work in Israel and England. She speaks German and English and is currently learning Hebrew.


Magdalena JehleRob WesselMagdalena Jehle (left) studied German Literature at the Ludwig-Maximillans University in München and at the University of Leeds in Great Brittan. Moreover she did her Master's Degree in European Integration at the University Chemnitz University of Technology. 

Rob Wesel (right) did his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at the University of Bremen and his Master's Degree in European Integration with the Focus on Mideast Europe at the Chemnitz University of Technology. Moreover he is part of a blogger collective - check it out www.stadtkontext.de.

Leah Olbricht is from Lübeck, Germany. Since 2015 she has been living in Göttingen where she studies Political Science with a focus on Sociology and Psychology. In her spare time she enjoys badminton, singing and doing voluntary work for her local group of Amnesty International. The internship at the Haifa Center for European Studies as well as the Bucerius Institute will be her first time in Israel.


ClemensLambermontClemens Lambermont MarysePott(left) is a 26 year old student from the Netherlands who currently lives in Haifa, Israel. In 2015 he completed his bachelor degree in journalism. Afterwards he worked as a freelance journalist with a focus on video production. A general interest in the Middle-East and international relations led him to join the Peace & Conflict Management program in Haifa. In the future he hopes to combine his journalistic skills with the experience he gained from studying in Israel and work with organizations advocating for human rights.
 
Maryse Pott (right) volunteered in a retirement home in Haifa for one year and worked in France before she started her studies. Currently she is enrolled at the University of Regensburg where she completes her degree in Political Science and French, as well as an extra-qualification to become a German teacher. Besides her internship at the University of Haifa, she also interns in an international education center of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
