Ayelet Banai has received her D.Phil. in Political Theory from the University of Oxford with the thesis “Drawing Boundaries: Nations, States and Self-Determination”. She was a research fellow at the Centre for Anvanced Studies Justitia Amlificata, Goethe University Frankfurt (2010-2013). Her fields of research are theories of self-determination, nationalism and diversity, theories of freedom, and the history of European liberalism.
