Dr Emmanuelle Blanc is currently a lecturer in the Haifa Center for German and European Studies (HCGES). Her primary research interest lies in the study of EU foreign policy, diplomacy, and the role of emotions in world politics. Expert in EU-Israel relations, Emmanuelle is also an affiliated Senior Fellow at the Herzl Centre for Israel Studies at Charles University, Prague.

Prior to joining the HCGES, Emmanuelle was a Fellow in the International Relations Department at the LSE and taught International Relations, at King’s College, London. Before pursuing her PhD, Emmanuelle worked at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was a Research Associate at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) where she focused on EU-Israel relations.  

Emmanuelle completed her PhD in International Relations at the LSE. She holds a BA and MA (Magna Cum Laude) in International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.  She also completed the Post Graduate Certificate for Higher Education and is now a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA). 

Her work has been published in the British Journal of Politics and International Relations (BJPIR), in the Journal of International Relations and Development (JIRD) and in Politics.
